ABOUT
ME

Hi, I’m Taryn.

If you’ve read a bit about my work, you know that I help women reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and move forward in their lives with intention.
What you might not know is how many different lives I’ve lived along the way.

A nonlinear path
Before becoming a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and building my own work, my path was anything but linear.

I’ve been a Peace Corps Volunteer.
A flight attendant.
A barista.
A nanny.
A student later in life.
An occupational therapist in multiple settings.
A coach.

I’ve lived in different parts of the country and spent time living internationally. I’ve started over more than once. I’ve followed paths that made sense on paper, and I’ve walked away from ones that didn’t feel right anymore.
From the outside, it might look like I’ve taken risks.
But from the inside, it has always been about listening for what felt true, even when it didn’t come with a clear plan.

When life doesn’t go as planned
For a long time, I believed that if I made the “right” choices, life would unfold in a certain way.
That there was a path you followed, and if you worked hard enough and showed up the right way, things would turn out how you expected.
And then life didn’t go according to plan.
There were relationships that didn’t work out.
Versions of life I thought I would have that didn’t happen.
Moments where I had to grieve not just what was, but what I thought would be.
Those experiences changed me.
They asked me to let go of control.
To question what I thought I was supposed to want.
And to begin listening for something deeper.
Coming back to myself
One of the most consistent ways I’ve found my way back to myself has been through nature.
Not in a dramatic, life-altering moment, but over and over again in small, quiet ways.
Backpacking trips.
Hikes without my phone.
Moments sitting outside long enough for my thoughts to settle.
Some of the biggest decisions in my life came from those spaces.
Leaving relationships.
Changing direction in my work.
Moving somewhere new.
Choosing a path that didn’t make sense on paper, but felt right in my body.
Nature gave me the space to hear my own voice again.

The work I do now
My work sits at the intersection of clinical training, coaching, and lived experience.
Through my background in occupational therapy, I was trained to look at the relationship between a person, their environment, and how they participate in their life. At its core, this work is about participation and fulfillment, not just function.
Over time, that work expanded beyond the clinic.
Now, I support women in reconnecting with themselves, understanding what they truly want, and making changes that reflect that.
Not through quick fixes or surface-level motivation, but through building self-trust and creating space for real clarity.

Why this matters to me
I know what it feels like to be capable, thoughtful, and doing all the “right” things, while still feeling disconnected or unsure of what’s next.
I know what it feels like to question everything.
To want more, but not have the language for what that is yet.
To feel the tension between what’s expected and what’s true.
And I also know what it feels like to find your way back.
Not all at once.
But slowly, honestly, and in a way that actually lasts.
The Wild Within
Creating The Wild Within is deeply personal.
It brings together so many pieces of my life. My clinical background, my love of the outdoors, and my belief that women need real space to reconnect with themselves.
The wilderness has been one of the most powerful mirrors in my own life.
It strips things back.
It quiets the noise.
It reminds you what matters.
This experience is not just about backpacking.
It is about giving yourself the time and space to hear your own voice again, in a way that is often hard to access in everyday life.
When you work with me
You will be met with honesty, depth, and care.
I will support you.
I will challenge you.
I will help you see yourself more clearly.
And I will hold you to the life you say you want.
And yes, I will absolutely hype you up when you need it.
If something here resonates with you, there are a few ways to take the next step.
You can explore The Wild Within, a guided wilderness expedition designed for women who are ready for depth, clarity, and challenge.
Or, if you’re feeling called to work together more personally, I’d love to hear from you.
